Pinnacle CEO Michael Magnusson Shares Leadership Lessons (and Van Halen Love) in SCREEN Magazine

When SCREEN Magazine sat down with our very own CEO Michael “Mags” Magnusson for its Five Questions series, the conversation offered a look at the personality and principles behind the brand. From his favorite band to the best advice he’s ever received, his answers capture the mix of drive, humor, and heart that define Pinnacle’s culture.

A lifelong Van Halen fan (“I know every word to every song,” he admits), Mags shared that if he had the talent to carry a note, that’s what you’d hear at karaoke night. He also revealed that his most meaningful birthday gifts come not from brands or business partners, but from his sons, hand-drawn cards that he’s saved year after year.

When asked who he’d choose as President of the United States, Mags named his friend Bob Navarre, praising his integrity, intellect, and curiosity. And his best advice?

“Everything you do has your signature on it. Make sure everything you do is worthy of your signature.”

It’s a line that sums up how he leads Pinnacle: with craftsmanship, accountability, and the belief that great work reflects the people behind it.
