WeatherTech’s Super Bowl Ad Takes a Wild Turn in 2025

WeatherTech's Super Bowl Ad Teaser

For years, WeatherTech has been a reliable presence in the Super Bowl ad lineup, focusing on its American-made products that protect vehicles and homes. But as Adweek put it in their most recent article, Golden Girls Go Wild in WeatherTech’s Super Bowl 59 Teaser Ad, the brand has never exactly been known for excitement—until now.

In its 12th Super Bowl appearance, WeatherTech is breaking the mold with “Whatever Comes Your Way,” a high-energy, humor-filled ad featuring a group of stylish, thrill-seeking seniors. Decked out in oversized jewelry and blasting Steppenwolf’s “Born to Be Wild,” these four women take a wild joyride in a 1963 Lincoln Continental, tagging trucks with graffiti, flirting with passing drivers, and even causing a stir at a bingo hall. Of course, all their antics lead to some spills and messes—but with WeatherTech products, the ride keeps going.

Directed by Grammy-winning filmmaker Joseph Kahn and created by Pinnacle Advertising, the ad is a refreshing departure for the brand. WeatherTech CEO David MacNeil noted that after years of building brand recognition, they saw an opportunity to stand out with a highly entertaining spot.

As Adweek pointed out, even the disclaimer—“Professional stunt granny driving on a closed course”—adds to the fun. With this bold move, WeatherTech isn’t just protecting vehicles; it’s proving it can entertain on the biggest advertising stage.
